What it is studied for
A growth hormone secretagogue studied in pituitary hormone-release assays.
What selected research found
Raun et al. (1998) reported GH release in rat pituitary cells, rats and swine. In the tested swine conditions, ACTH and cortisol responses were not significantly different from GHRH.
Evidence limits
Selectivity in those experiments is not evidence of an absence of side effects in humans, or proof of muscle-building, anti-aging or recovery benefits.
